I believe that collaborations are important and beneficial for students as well as teachers in many ways.
For students, collaborations on projects or in different social or study groups can help student grow in their academics. This type of interactions can also allow student to build life-long relationships and connections in different educational or work fields, for future engagements and opportunities.
For teachers, the same possibilities can occur, with teachers helping other co-workers with lesson plans, how to deal with different students and situations inside the classroom and also developing lasting relationships and connection for their current careers and future career opportunities.

Digital Citizenship and Digital Literacy
Being able to use technology in class is a great way to expand your resources, but understanding the digital citizenship and literacy is something we have to know. When using the internet for research it's great to know all the safety guideline a teacher, parent, and student, this would be consider digital literacy . One guideline to understand as a teacher is knowing the schools rules regarding the internet before allowing the students use it. Understanding what websites the students are allowed to get on is a great start of digital citizenship. Make your own rules for your students to follow when they are using the internet for class. Always remind your students about internet safety and the rules.
Digital Citizenship for students are different from teachers and parents. What the students should know is that when they using the internet they shouldn't add or meet online friends without their parents permission. This can be very dangerous for the students, can't always trust anything you see on the internet.

Digital Citizenship
During my last micro-teaching experience, I came across students that did not understand the value of digital citizenship. Honestly, I do not think most teenagers are driven to take on the internet with the idea that they must uphold their digital citizenry in a positive way. No, most teenagers are driven by their emotions and their peers' emotions as well. Most of the students were not aware of the notion that even though you may delete a blog post or a quick Snapchat clip, the post or the clip remains forever.
On Kathleen Morris' blog post, she includes the acronym, YAPPY. Although the concept of YAPPY seems to be geared towards younger students, I think that high schoolers can benefit from this concept as well. They have grown up in a world in which oversharing is normal. I'm not sure if some teenagers understand that through the Internet, the world is connected. Easily, their personal information can be viewed and shared with people in their communities and strangers around the world. Students must learn about the long lasting consequences, whether positive or negative, of digital citizenship. Thus, having a grasp of digital literacy is important for today's students.
Collaboration in the Classroom
Collaboration to me is one of the most important aspects a classroom can be comprised of. Collaborations helps students not only become more social and help with their social skills but helps bounce each other ideas off one another. Collaboration in definition to me is sharing information by working together to come to a common goal. The teacher can benefit in many ways from collaboration including seeing the progress at which the student is at and being able to add more information to their knowledge so they are able to grow academically in the situation.
I feel it is so great that we are able to collaborate over the internet in different platforms such as bloggers, and other resources for the classroom. Some students may not like working with others or specific people or may even have anxiety when working with new people so this outlet of collaborating through the internet, may be the best option for getting their foot in the door of collaboration. Overall collaboration is a tool everyone should practice day to day to become a better student or teacher.

Chapter 3 Technology
All students should be able to have access to the same information that is given in a classroom. For example, every student learns differently but they can be given different tools to learn the same material. AT and UDL both address the concepts of a variety in that they both address the individual learning needs of the students.
UDL focuses on different methods and assessments that can be helpful for all students with any needs. Common Core Standards provides guidance about a certain topic that students are expected to learn and with AT it provides students with disabilities to access the curriculum. When I was doing observation hours for a class last semester I observed a full class with students who all had different needs. There would be a teacher and a teacher assistant would go around the classroom and help each student individually or give them different resources to understand the material.
Tool
On UDL Exchanging I found this resource called, Graphing with Grit. I found this very interesting because it has attached to it was YouTube videos on how to create graphs as well as a website where students can create a variety of their own graphs. This will be helpful to give students a visual of what is being asked from them also making it more fun creating it online rather than the old-fashioned way on paper.

When I take a look back at my own twitter usage
I realized I don't tweet ever. I really thought about this when the
article said create don't just consume. I usually just retweet things I
find funny or important news blast. However, I should get back to sharing
my thoughts with my fellow twitter followers. I've also never thought to
deeply into the benefits of hashtags. From Edudemic “The Teacher’s Guide to Twitter.” I found a lot of good
emphasis on hashtags. I've always used them in a more
comical way. Using the hashtags to help spread education is
something I haven't looked at and I like the ideas it could help
spread. I really like the ideas of having twitter in the classroom it
would be so fun and promote such good things for the students to learn.
The only drawback is how dangerous the internet can be and would need to do
some work on how to protect the kids from things they shouldn't be reading or
seeing yet at their age.
Twitter could be a good source in the classroom
for older students. The idea brought up in class about being able to
reach out to students who could be in a different county as a digital pen
pal. I like that I have a twitter myself but I would make a different one
for a more business atmosphere instead of my personal one where I follow all my
high school friends, celebrities, and meme accounts. Having a separation
would make a big difference in what I would see on my feed. One more for
spread of information teaching ideas and one for pure entertainment. Even
once being a teacher making a third account just for students and
teachers. That way I could post homework assignments or reminders to
study or just to do the homework students would then see come 6, 7 o'clock
while their scrolling and remember to do their homework before bed.
While searching on twitter I searched "2nd grade" and found Marshalls 2nd grade class that did a fun activity. The math activity is for a nice day. The
students went outside and used chalk to create a number line on the
blacktop. This looked like a fun way to get the students moving outside
and engaging in math while having fun. Middle school and high school students
could use twitter for interacting with the teacher and classmates. There also could be a use for younger children’s
classes so parents could follow the classes account and see what the students
have been learning at school and the teacher could give a heads up about what’s
happening next in class. There also is a
lot of information that a teacher could use themselves to find new ideas to
bring into their classroom or just join in to a chat about education that could
also lead to sharing teaching strategies or activities they have done in their
classroom.

Me as a teacher I would let my group in class be small and make sure student have enough material to work with. Also the collaboration with peer-peer, student would ask for help someone else and even if they would not understand I would jump in and explain it to them. Teacher just cannot let student work on their own otherwise they will work for little bit and rest of the time they would chat.
