Loops through life

This article also talks about putting yourself out there. I believe that there are kids or even adults who blog to stay in the loop with the recent news going on. I believe blogs are important because it let's people stay in contact with one another. I see blogs on my twitter news feed and I see people connect about small things such as weight loss or health routines. There can be other people who chime into someone else's blog and give another point of view to someone else.  Kids now a days have their own blogs if you go on YouTube your able to see how kids express themselves. I don't agree with giving kids a full access to certain blogs because they aren't appropriate for their age. Blogs let someone express how they are feeling and show their true colors. Isn't that what we want in life?

I believe through this article it looks at areas where places don't have access to technology and or the way other schools are able to use it. Technology in schools now is a need I feel because of the wide range of focus. There is an example in the text that states "We know that the nature of literacy has changed in the digital age, but unfortunately, we do not have decades to catch up to this change".(Troy Hicks and Kristen Hawley Turner). As I grew up I was always using a pen or pencil and expecting my papers to be marked up where it took me a while to understand what I was doing wrong on my papers. Where teachers are learning how to edit on a computer now and kids are more experienced than us mentors.

  1. I like how you said kids even have their own youtube channels and blogs, there finding their own way to put their ideas and thoughts into the world in a way I never did as a kid.

  2. I can agree with you that I don't believe children should have full access to certain blogs just because of the censorship that children these days in order to stay in the appropriate guidelines yet still be able to share expression. As technology progresses I think we need to stay updated on the newest technologies too, not to abuse their power but in this digital age stay educated.

  3. Hi Megan and Emma,

Thanks for reaching out to my blog. I am happy you all can agree with some of the things I have captured. We need to protect Children Minds and them at all cost. Kids need to be exploring and need to be creative with what they are doing. There are a lot of kids who are smarter than some adults now with technology and there are at times where we may even need to ask them.
