I did not think about that something like digital literacy or digital citizenship exist. When I read this article I was kid of surprise. Now it all make sense to me. We live in digital world and we had to be careful what we put out there. If we post something on the internet it will be there forever. If we post something it will be there and later on it can catch us back. We have to make our self safe and great website Morris show how we can reach the safe level.
Morris owns website were she explain differences between digital literacy and digital citizenship. Literacy is the knowledge about digital world where citizenship is actual being on the internet and leaving something out there. She also create tips how to be safe and how to make the classroom safe. We- as teacher- have to know what is good for our student and what we can or cannot post and share with world around us. Teacheer and parent want their childern to be in safe and positive place on internet.
Hello Lenka,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you entirely on the fact that something that should be taken into consideration always, is that one should be aware of what they post. As a teacher, your digital footprint is something that is looked at by schools, colleagues and families. When engaging in digital citizenship, stay aware of the fact that not only your friends have access to what you are posting. With that being said, I agree with your post on staying safe and positive.
Hi Lenka,
ReplyDeleteI think comparing these two digital aspects are very interesting. We do live in a digital world where there are random ads that pop up and we can't help what is going to be seen. It is crazy to me that there are people who can go search your name on twitter or Facebook and find out every little thing about you. I guess that is smart for real jobs now a days because there are some things you may never bring up during an interview.
