After reading the article "No Longer a Luxury: Digital Literacy Can't Wait," by Troy Hick and Kristen Hawley Turner, I have mixed feelings about how I feel about technology. So first I feel that technology plays a big role in why children are leaning more towards watching TV or on their cellphones rather than picking up a book to read. Many students and families have so much access to technology, it almost most makes it impossible to fail any grade because Google can tell you the answer to everything. This in my opinion is a pro and con. If I had it my way, i would have a designated technology time. This might work, because although technology isn't disappearing and only increasing, students can also mix class instruction with technology.
My thoughts about SMR model is that students can use it in an educational way. It allows students to take notes and also discuss with their peers about a certain topic or to get an opinion on a lesson. Also helps teachers with providing an extra hand to each child.
Overall, my opinion about digital resources after reading and learning about all of these helpful website, is that technology can play a huge role in helping inside and outside of the classroom. Children and even us as college students have websites that we can log onto that helps us with brainstorming, organizing information, building our comprehension, and improving how we take notes and study.
