For my next lesson plan 2 I have decided to use two types of tools. I want to use the tool called Office Lens. I think this is a really cool application because it can really help students who don't come prepared for the day or can help the teacher in a way to let her students learn better. The teacher would be able to take a picture of a book of getting started of how to tell time and have it help the students out for a large picture since every student won't be able to get the book I would be reading. It was also important that since I can use this application and students will have an ipad since they will be participating in the kahoot. This tool will be able to help them if they are struggling along the way with being able to tell time because I can change the program settings where I can write on the board and it appears on their ipad scren from my smart board. Smart boards are evolving with all the programs that are for use on them now.
There may be some limitations with this app because students may not be able to edit things they way they would want to like the teacher does when she shares it with the class. This application can really help students that are struggling. Teachers may use this app in their class where they can transfer her notes over to their ipads and they can pay attention to more lecture than taking notes that will be saved and shared. If a student with a disability uses this app it can benefit them because everything will be there for them provided by the teacher.
My lesson plan 2 idea:
My lesson plan 2 is going to be on kahoot which I have came up with questions which have clocks as a visual and a short description where the children and I can read out loud. Before the kahoot we would read a story which is something to spark their interest. For the use of my kahoot it is going to be directed towards 1st graders. The kahoot is based upon multiple questions and after wards they will be given a worksheet where they can do an independent practice at their desk.
Taking into consideration all students with disabilities and who are ELL I am here to help. My students which are ELL will be given the same kahoot as everyone else but I can program their device to the language which they are speaking for them to understand. It will help them as well to have the picture for a large visual. Students which have disabilities are going to use the kahoot and a printed out picture of the clock at their desk.
An accomodation in general for students which I will have besides the kahoot is the large clocks where you can move the big/little hands for a hands-on experience. Let alone if we are struggling parents can download this app too. In Office lens if students wanted to go home and re-read the story in which we read they will be able to have this app at home and can re-read it.
The limits about this application for Kahoot is that students must have a piece of technology to be able to access the quiz or discussion. There can be times where students take notes on the kahoot.
Both of the tools I have selected fit well with one another. Kahoot and Office Lens are pretty similar in a way where the teacher is directing but using the help of the students.
