Lesson Plan (Two) Review

In my Lesson Plan Two, I will engage my students in the usage of tablets in the classroom.

I know how important it is to introduce technological tools in the classroom, because of the benefits of using the tool. In the lesson plan, I first introduced myself as an instructor, the class grade level, the courses content, then I gave the steps of how I will introduce the use of tablets to my class, from class discussion up until physically allowing my students to engage in use of tablets in the class.

I think tablet use in the classroom is very beneficial, because it allows for a less traditional way of participating in reading, writing or presentation. For a real life example, in one of my observation classes, student were able to participate in online programs during class, because they were able to follow along with the teacher, on their tablets. This allows students to use a more creative outlet, for assignments, presentation and even exams, which can want the to be more interested in what is being taught, encourage participation.

I will say a limitation is the accessibility to the tablets. Students should only be allowed to use the physical equipment in the classroom, where they can be monitored for how they are treating and operating the tablets as well as if they are using the appropriate programs. Encouragement of them getting familiar with the programs used, so they can participate with them at home if they do have access to tablets at home.

Tablet usage is beneficial for students with visual impairments because the devices have sound, as well as for students with writing impairments because the can point on things they want to say or write out, such as typing, giving them a way to build confidence in a alternate way of communication to writing.

Lastly, student wouldn't have to worry about being without a tablet, because the school or class can supply each student with their own tablet, through the school's funds for technological assistance.
