Collaboration in the Classroom

Collaboration to me is one of the most important aspects a classroom can be comprised of. Collaborations helps students not only become more social and help with their social skills but helps bounce each other ideas off one another. Collaboration in definition to me is sharing information by working together to come to a common goal. The teacher can benefit in many ways from collaboration including seeing the progress at which the student is at and being able to add more information to their knowledge so they are able to grow academically in the situation.

I feel it is so great that we are able to collaborate over the internet in different platforms such as bloggers, and other resources for the classroom. Some students may not like working with others or specific people or may even have anxiety when working with new people so this outlet of collaborating through the internet, may be the best option for getting their foot in the door of collaboration. Overall collaboration is a tool everyone should practice day to day to become a better student or teacher.

  1. I totally agree with you on how important collaboration is. It allows for team building skills, for students within the classroom or co workers in the work place. collaborations also provide the opportunity for individuals to discuss new opinions and ideas, developing more information about other's backgrounds and a world outside of their own.

  2. You are absolutely correct on the importance of collaboration. I'm very thankful for things like blogger to assist in collaboration with students who do not necessarily like speaking out loud or working in groups, like you mentioned. It really does help them still get their voice out.
