Reviewed Lesson Plan:
- How do the lessons engage diverse learners?
I feel this applies or engages with other learners because it may provide knowledge to students that lack this information of how the weather works. There is also engagement of diversity with the use of assistive tools for this lesson plan.
2.) What technology tools are being used and in what way(s)?
Powerpoints, Video Clips Clips, Note-Taking, Group discussion/Participation. Worksheets...
3.) What other purposes might these technology tools serve?
I feel this tools help as assistive tool for students, in different way to learn and to teach as well as for teachers to learn and to teach. Students learn in different style, which mean teachers have to learn how to teach in different styles. Video and powerpoints help stimulate student visual and audio sense, grabbing their attention through more than one stimulus, discussion allow for growth in independent thinking and social skills. Lastly, worksheet and and note-taking assignments can be helpful for students who remember things well by written actions or stimulus.
Technology Tool Used: Powtoons
I really like assistive technology because it helps close the learning gaps that students struggle with. Seeing assistive technology in use in environments such as special education rooms is really exciting to see. It makes learning so much easier for the students and it makes them feel less different compared to others.
ReplyDeleteI have always had a difficult time learning so when teachers use other methods to teach it really helps. I have mild dyslexia so print materials were always difficult but if I can hear the material as well as following along I can do extremely well. Technology can hugely help people who learn differently and we can finally tape into the brains of people who cannot communicate the same way.
